Crow Honeyeater
Gymnomyza aubryana
Parc de la Rivière Bleue, South Province, New Caledonia - 8 november 2018
Side view of a Crow Honeyeater, perched inside the forest. The Crow Honeyeater is probably the most endangered bird that is known to be extant in New Caledonia. This was also the only bird that I worried about, would I be able to find it by myself? I excluded the option of hiring a guide for a half day, that would have cost me more than the 5 day car hire!
