Chestnut-sided Warbler
Setophaga pensylvanica
Magee Marsh, Ohio, USA - May 14 2023
North American wood warblers are among the most fascinating birds on a trip such as ours. Many species, most being brightly colorful and always a delight to see. We saw about 30 species, many of them in Ohio where we attended the “Biggest Week in American Birding” together with thousands of other birders. The Chestnut-sided Warbler is only one of my favorites. Once, 33 years ago, I photographed this species with a small compact camera on “Dry Tortugas”, but now I have a digital version!
