After 24 years I returned to this Philippine Island, well known for its natural beauty, pristine forests, and rich biodiversity including 26 endemic bird species. On my first visit, I did not carry a camera, so my goal was obvious; photographing all bird endemics. However, temporary health issues prevented me from reaching the altitudes of the montane species. Nevertheless, I could enjoy 6 wonderful days on my own with the island’s wildlife, and not only birds. For a start I will upload the photos of the birds that were new species on photo for me, the 6 most interesting first. The rest will appear later.
