The Philippines, with its incredible diversity of endemic bird species, has been on my radar ever since my first visit in 2001. On that tour, which was a 4-week standard tour arranged by the late Tim Fisher, I did not carry a camera. Now, I chose to join on a slightly different arrangement, with less frequently birded areas, guided by Rob Hutchinson from Birdtour Asia. This brought me not only quite a few new lifers, but also 140 new photo species to my galleries. I joined this pleasant group directly after my solo tour to Palawan (below). For a start I will upload the photos of the birds that were new species on photo for me, my 6 favorite species first. The rest will appear later.
