No doubt SouthAfrica is a birdwatchers paradise, and since I was signed up for the ”Flock to Marion” cruise, departing from Durban, it was inevitable to do a revisit to a few selected sites beforethe sea voyage. I stayed mainly within Kwazulu-Natal borders, and found many ofthe birds that I saw already back in 1999, but had no digital photos of as yet. January is the wettest month in this part of Africa and indeed I gotsoaked. The rain will be visible in many of the photos posted in this gallery. The first 6 photos represent some of the most desired species on the trip. This gallery will be completed later on.
