For quite some time I have planned to make myself a bucket-list of, lets say, 100 birds that I really need to see... Well, the Spoony would certainly be one of the top birds on such a list. So now I have seen it, after all these years that I have desired this near-mythical, critically endangered shorebird from the Siberian arctic tundra.
