Ferruginous Hawk

I am probably not the only one that has extra strong feelings for the Birds of Prey. To have a decent photo of each is an obvious goal, and I still needed to find a Ferruginous Hawk to perform in front of my camera. We found only one (!) but way too close while driving along the dirt road. I had to put on my brakes and take photos as the bird was already leaving before the car had stopped.
