Christmas Swiftlet

A relatively fresh split from the Glossy Swiftlet. Most swifts and swiftlets I have photographed before have been hunting at higher elevations, towards the skies. But the Christmas Swiftlet prefer to fly low, only a foot above ground at the forest edge or occasionally over a forest clearing. It was indeed very challenging to get focus on these tiny fast-flyers. But I had plenty of time to spend on the task…
