Greater Scythebill

Cordillera Guacamayos trail, Napo, Ecuador - 9 november 2019
On this particular day we had both great luck and bad luck. Fortunate to find the so elusive Greater Scythebill, desired so badly for many years. Bad luck, since we on this sunny day suddenly found ourselves in a thick cloud at the same time as we spotted the Scythebills. So, there we are; The Scythebill wrestling with a juicy worm, our selves inside a cloud that wouldn’t go away. I had to do a great deal of photo editing afterwards to make the photo a little clearer. The worm was later handed over to a full-grown juvenile.
