New Zealand Rockwren
Xenicus gilviventris
Homer Tunnel, Fiordland National Park, South Island, New Zealand - 28 november 2018
The tiny New Zealand Rockwren lives in the Southern Alps in a rugged and rocky environment. Despite harsh winters, it doesn't migrate, but lives the whole winter under the snow cover. A unique life history for a bird.
